My LJ: basically a comics blog

Sep 30, 2010 20:45

My life nowadays can be summed up in three points: 1) Working 15 hours a week at the comics shop, which is full of both comics and kitties and is therefore pretty awesome. 2) Working 20 hours a week as an intern at local university’s science libraries, which are full of science and neat things to do and are therefore pretty awesome. 3) Taking a ( Read more... )

Starman: I've gotten as far as Vol. 2. I like it but at the same time I don't feel compelled to get the whole series. I didn't even read the 70s' Starman story yet ( ... )

Time Masters: That would pretty much make my life.

BOP: Did you read the original? I keep on hearing from people following the series from earlier who love it.

JLGL: ...eurgh.

Booster Gold: Mainly the mature Ted/immature Booster dynamic in SuperBuddies. It was exaggerated enough to be OOC there, but I really like how this calls back to that--and showing how much of a different part of his life Booster's in.

Yay Blackest Night Question! I forget how much Question you've read, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't need that much prior knowledge. And I've finally warmed up to Denys Cowan's art (or it's just inked/colored differently enough)...

Time Masters: I caved and caught a glimpse of the last of the issue in the scans daily pics. Did you finish this yet? Curious on someone elses' take on the Linear Men thing.

BOP: Not the Chuck Dixon stuff but I do have some Gail Simone issues. Their okay, better than this, but not really my thing. Maybe because I really don't know how Dinahs' supposed to be written. I dunno.

BG: I try not to think of it. But it sorta reads weird to me. Why are they shocked when even Scott says that Teds' the troublemaker? And if Superbuddies did happen Teds' an even bigger jerk for treating Booster like he did.:(

Mainly the stuff from scans daily and 52. Still I love Vic and until this book came out was hoping he was still alive hoping to inspire Renee by being "dead." ...Yes, I was in denial. But isn't it a rule in comics that unless you see the body their not dead?

THIS ISSUE IS TOTALLY WORTH READING IT HAS DRACULA ON A SEGWAY.

YAY MORE SPIRIT LOVE \o/ Man I really must play my Denny when I get back to RPing again...

I dropped Irredeemable (although I might read it in trade), but I've been meaning to pick up Incorruptable. I should do that!

Dracula on a segway, 'nuff said.

I have a friend with a Denny, too, that keeps trying to get me into it. THERE IS A REASON THE PEOPLE THAT LOVE IT REALLY LOVE IT. I need to find this out for myself.

OKAY YOU LISTEN TO ME, Incorruptible was better for a while? BUT LAST ISSUE, HOLY SHITBALLS. IRREDEEMABLE IS NOW WINNING AGAIN.
