Habemus Papam!

Unexpectedly, the front runner for the job of Supreme Pontiff, actually got the job. Cardinal Ratzinger is now Pope Benedict XVI and I'm very happy with this decision. A new Pope means a new face for the Church. I am both excited and hopeful for this Pontiff. The Church is in good hands.

i really think the cardinals need to start thinking ahead. i have no strong feelings for or against the new pope, but he's already quite old. i think there are a lot of younger church officials that are just as pious. we need some young blood up in the vatican.
