So I know I was only in Biloxi for a couple of days, but as I sit here snowed-in in Seymour, not having even had a tour the three days I was back at work, I'm starting to get really homesick for the Gulf Coast.  It felt so familiar to me while I was down there, way more comfortable than a place I'd never been before should ( Read more... )

Home sweet home!  The trip home is so much prettier in the day time.  The swamps are really cool looking, but I don't think I'd go so far as to say they're pretty.  They're ugly, but so different from anything at home; they're mysterious.  To sort of summarize my Facebook updates, Mobile seems like a really nice city, and it smells like barbecue ( Read more... )

After a lot of hassle and confusion, I finally made it to Biloxi on my very first business trip. I rode down with one of my coworkers in a pimpin' Chrysler 300, rented by me with reimbursement. There was a van or SUV upside down on the side of Chapman Hwy near where I had my wrecks. There was just one police car there when I drove by, and I saw an officer looking around with a flashlight. I passed an ambulance, a firetruck, and a couple of those other red fire department trucks on my way down Chapman. Now that I'm home, I hear sirens ( Read more... )
