Take a look at this latest video from a clever chap called Johnny Chung Lee, who amongst many other innovative projects, does amazing things with the Wii Remote.

In this video, he shows how you can use the wii remote and wii sensor bar (or a couple of infra red LED's) to turn your screen into a proper 3D virtual display!

Erk, forgot to post a link to his homepage.

One of his other cool projects has been to use the Wii remote, with some infrared LEDs and reflective tape, to create a Minority Report-like virtual interface! :D

Have I not showed you this before? It's been in my favourites for ages, he's brilliant! :D Seen the finger tracking one too?

Yeah! Such a simple idea! No real technology required to make it work, just an amazing oppertunity for someone to come out of the blue with a kickass game! :D

Imagine a sci-fi detective adventure based around that interface! :)

I'm afraid he was snapped up, my Microsoft. :/ Which you can bet means we wont be seeing his best innovations, only his innovations that work best on a Windows platform. :(

completely unrelated...... i've put slug pellets on the veg patch, but just wanted to let you know that they are completely kitty-safe! (+other pet/child safe, +organic!)

Are you sure they'll be safe?

When I got the rescue people to come and pick up that dying hedgehog a while ago, they were telling me how damaging slug pellets are to the small-animal ecosystem. They told me that putting down slug pellets introduces a poison into the environment that just travels up the foodchain. Slugs (and rodents) eat the pellets, rodents eat the slugs, pets eat the rodents.

Could you let me know the make so I can have a search on the internet to put my mind at rest?

i've left them in the car, but i'll get them out and let you know in the morning..... i've been hunting for a while for ones that are going to be safe, and these are the best ones i've come up with (i had visions of harvy chomping down on slugs in the garden.... revolting creature that he is!)
don't worry, i don't want to put anything in the garden thats going to harm our little ones, or other fuzzy(or feathered) little creatures. if you have any reservations when i tell you what they sre, i'll clear them right up (the garden belongs to all of us, including the furry ones!!!)

....j has just told me they're iron phospate (thats the only ingredient), i'll double check and get back to you tomorrow!
