There seemed to be a problem with the name servers still pointing to my former hosting provider and I only noticed that today. It's fixed, but will take approx. 36 hours to propagate, so most likely

Hey... uh... if my site isn't back online by tomorrow, do you think you can help me by telling me how to manually change my name servers? I never had to deal with any of that crap when I used bellsouth web hosting. :/

Thanks dear! The new domain name is good to go, but it points to gothicmidnight, which is down... and that sucks. I was going to wait to announce the name, but even though it's a pointer, the email for that domain works is working. I will email you with the addy (you will recognize the email address, I'm sure), because I really don't want any spam making its way into that inbox by listing it in a public entry. I will announce it in a locked entry tomorrow to "LJ friends".

I'll try to contact you tomorrow, if my site is still down. There is a control panel that lets you manually enter the name servers and I have the IP address and what the name servers should be. I trust you so if you'd rather just login and check it out, I would be more than willing to give you the info to sign in.

The dude at tech support supposedly entered the correct name servers, but said it would take 36 hours. It's been 36 hours and the name servers are still listing bellsouth, so I'm giving it until noon tomorrow.

Thanks! That photo turned out really well, as did most of them. There are really only a few that bugged me and it's not the photography... it's the fact that I'm getting older. ;)

I lack patience and the web site fiasco is driving me out of my mind. If it's not up by tomorrow, I'm going to have to ask for help from some of my friends that know about manually changing the name servers. It makes me question changing hosting providers because I never had this problem with my former provider and I've used their services since '98.
