ok so I got to school...and things aren't quite what I expected. I mean they are great, but Im kind of in a daze right now. I really thought it would be like admit weekend, where you meet all of these people and learn everyone's name...but really the only people who I've talked to for any length of time are my roommate and Lincoln people. Yeah, starting out is kind of awkward, but don't worry, things pick up. Just wander your hall/dorm saying hey to people, chat people up at the cereal dispensor in the cafeteria, always ask The Questions (What's your name? Where are you from? Where are you staying?) that way even though they're relaly crappy stupid conversations, when you run into those people in random places you can both be like "Hey! I know you! What's up?" and have a real conversation even if you had just introduced yourself before. But yeah, SO many people! I know exactly how it is...all overwhelming. No worries, after a few days it'll start normaling out. But even then, at least for me, it takes a few weeks to get into the swing of things. I mean, I had a really kickass first week, but then the first two weeks of classes I was like shit, I hate my classes, I feel kind of aimless, but then I totally got into the swing of things and activities started up and it's starting to turn out great
