Right so my friend is actually texting me about the show and we should marathon season 2. She enjoyed Derek. When I said there was surprisingly less shirtless Derek scenes she proposed a "free the abs" campaign for season 3.

And when he tries to get something done (best or worse intentions aside) it never turns out well.
Jackson...Danny. It breaks my heart that Jackson probably knows, to some extent, what he's being forced to do. And instead of asking for help he tries to protect his best friend. These moments are the moments when my dislike of Jackson just melts away because you know he's a good guy, he cares, he's just so focused on being the best and being seen as top dog that he lets his douchebag persona get the better of him.

Because that's what it probably would have been in season 1. He wouldn't be questioning his son being on the field for anything other than being able to play. Though seriously "my son is on the field!" gosh.
