okay so after i spent about an hour on bash after reading laura's post...i'll get back to what i was originally gonna say earlier.

To be fair, we really didn't have a clear idea of what the impact of industrialization would be until it was very close to being finished. Once we did realize what we had done, we had spent so many years developing a certain lifestyle that it is totally unreasonable to expect people to change all of a sudden ( ... )

i agree with what you're saying, and i know change isn't gonna be instantaneous. to me it's just really hard to be positive about the situation cuz we've kindof gotten ourselves in deeper than i think we can get out of (in my personal opinion). and i realize that hindsight is 20/20..and nobody would have thought the amazing invention of the car that gave us mobility and speed would ever destroy the planet. the same way you never know the outcome of any given invention or situation. sometimes it can be made into a better one than you thought it would. it just so happens a lot of great inventions were made that have had disastrous results. but you can't always erase your mistakes. that is also a reality we have to deal with ( ... )
