So. We went to AJ's last night, just Dano, Erin, and Dano's friends. Saw Kirby and practically everyone I went to high school with. The place had never been so packed. Ever. I just hate how everyone puts value on a life in Kingston, but we don't think about the other people dying in other countries.. call me a cold hearted bitch, but I'm not sensitive to killings, it just happens too much to lose sleep over it. You have to get on with your own lives.

like someone says "tsunami disaster" and i'm like "uh. so?"
i don't think you're heartless or anything. we're just desensitized to it... and it doesn't really seem real if it's not happening close to home.
maybe that's why everyone made a big deal.
i don't think it's a big deal. but a lot of small town people would. it's just the way things work it small areas.

this is true. I just don't put more value on Kingstonians, than I do the people living in Sri Lanka. It doesn't make sense not to equate two human lives. But we'll all still read about it in Saturday's paper, I'm sure.

ah its kinda a big deal just because it doesnt happen in kingston often...thats the first bar stabbing in ktown ive heard of anyways, but, well...im new to kingston nightlife.
but you know? thats crazy...i would normally feel safe at a bar in kingston and not even consider being stabbed. in calgary i was sketchy of certain bars/areas because that sort of thing was common there...im sure id do the same in toronto too...its the security factor, that feeling of safety.
man that freaks me out....it really does....people are fucking stupid
