THIS IS EVERYTHING I WAS WONDERING. The entire time, I'm just on the edge of my seat like, she's gonna show up riiiiiiiight now! Okay, maybe now! Okay, okay, maybe she's not in the courthouse but we're on the street so she's gonna run up and save the day...... now! Maybe she was on the other side of the city and had a long way to run so she'll be there in like a -- or not.

I really thought that Aang was trying to tell Korra more than the parallel between Yakone and Tarrlok -- I watched him pull the "take away his bending" card and it shows us how Aang takes away bending and how it is not how Amon does it. I do not buy that Amon can permanently take away a person's bending. It just doesn't make sense. But then... I don't know, a lot of the really difficult bending that we saw in the first series has just been used to death in this one, like Everyone Has a Power Ring (read: Mako lightningbending. What the ass. Zuko couldn't even bend lightning. We saw only three people do it [IIRC, Iroh does? If not, two. It's been a while since I've seen it] in the original series, and all of them were obscenely powerful firebenders. Why is it suddenly commonplace and apparently easy? This bothers me.So I don't even know anymore

I'm a bit confused on all the ages here but then again Aang was only like 66 when he died so still. Tenzin seems kind of old to have such young kids but then again he is a monk I DON'T KNOW.

I would watch an entire buddy cop show that was just Korra and Lin Bei Fong having madcap adventures and solving crimes with the power of bending and friendship and badassery. I wouldn't even need a plot or deep character arcs. Like, Law and Order: Republic City. Korra is Detective Briscoe and Lin is Detective Green. That would be all of the TV I would need, ever. And you know that show would never be cancelled, it would have like thirty seasons and Platinum Gold Edition Collections featuring vignettes in the day-to-day, non-crime-fighting lives of the characters, and it would be awesome.
According to the Avatar Wiki, Tenzin is 51 and Pema is... 35. Which makes me wince when taken along with the past-tense Lin/Tenzin because Tenzin left Lin for a woman sixteen years younger than him and ouch. Even if it was completely above-board (which I think it was) and even if Tenzin and Lin were pretty much or completely over beforehand (which I think it was), it's still kind of... *side-eye
