I don't know. I only watch news from other countries, so I don't know what American news had to say about it. (Actually I dont think I remember what any news had to say about it. It was just so great.)
I guess in America a lot of people wouldn't realize that having a someone throw shoes at you to makes so much more of a statement than assassinating him would have (or at least it does to other countries)... My whole family and I thought it was epic.
