See the comment below about what it means... you don't find out til June 1st, and then you would technically have to lose a deposit at whatever other school you wanted to secure your spot... and then you don't know how much money they will give you... and I can't afford $40,000 a year.

I actually really loved it up there :(. But... who knows what will happen?

Basically, they accepted enough people and by June 1st if some of them say "HEY WE DON'T LIKE BRANDEIS, SAYONARA" they re-evaluate their wait-listed students (like admissions process times two...!) and decide who they will offer admittance.

I'm sorry. Keep your hopes up! You never know what might happen. The very best schools that you and I (and unfortunately, thousands of other people) are applying to are pretty much crapshoots... sometimes the deserving get slighted, while the unlikely get lucky. It sucks, but it happens. I'll be crossing my fingers for you!

P.S. Didn't you apply to GW or am I imagining it?
