*is speechless*

...

I love this. The snarky dialogue is wonderful, I'm fully in love with your Cordy, and this kiss is great. But it's even more than that! There's jealousy and a battle of wills between two incredibly strong women. Angel plays a major roll even though he's not there. And the last line is perfect.

It's incredible how much you fit in so few words. Love this so much!

I'm over from a rec on buffyversetop5.
Oh my. That was stunning! Both voices were absolutely stunning, and I loved how they played each other so well.
I loved how Angel was present in the story, but he didn't get in the way at all either.
And boy, poor Cordelia doth protest too much. ;)
"Well, vampire or not, he is male," Cordelia remarked dryly. "At least you got shiny stuff. Most guys leave with a backhand wave and a vague promise to 'call sometime'."
and
My Angelus should be walking with kings, with their blood on his tongue and their kingdoms at his feet! Instead, he snivels and scrapes to humans!" she wailed.
Wonderful. Just great voices. I'm so glad I stopped by!!

Thank you so much for the compliments and feedback! I was very surprised at how well-received this fic was, especially since at that point I hadn't written Cordelia much or Darla at all. I'm so glad to know that I did a good job with them, and that I made the pairing believable and interesting.

And I'm pleased you picked that Cordelia line to quote. I giggled when I wrote it because it was such a Cordelia thing to say. I was happy with it, and I love that you liked it, too. :)

Thank you again for letting me know you enjoyed this.
