I think you've done a marvelous job describing this part of Earth to someone who is from a desert planet. The colors, flowers, water (wasted in the fountain)...it's all really beautiful. Your perspective and ability to see what would be striking is very good. And this meeting between Spock of Vulcan and James Tiberius Kirk is epic. Epic, I say. :) I enjoyed this. A lot.
