i'm watching "marie antoinette," which i have wanted to see for some time (if only for the costumes), and i'm finding it's odd, like baz luhrmann's "romeo + juliet," only slightly less obvious. and not quite so well orchestrated. it should be a period piece, but modern elements have blended into the film. for example, marie and her ladies in
