Apparently, Amazon.com won the auction for the 7th copy (of only 7 copies) of JK Rowling's _The Tales of Beedle the Bard_. The proceeds went to her charity. Amazon plans to take the book on a tour of schools and libraries. The book is GORGEOUS, leather-bound with moonstones and silver carvings. It's handwritten and contains JKR's own drawings. They bid $4 million for it. I think it was an interesting marketing/charity move.

As you can see, I haven't had a whole lot of time to post either!! Hope you're doing well. I've had a very happy few days - first 3 reviews of CLIMBING THE STAIRS came in and all were good - one in Kirkus, the second was a starred review in Booklist and the third is that it's a Booksense Notable pick for May (it only hits bookshelves in May)! Other than that I've been madly busy working on novel # 2....
