Ha- I meant to make my last post a private "note to self," but accidentally posted it publicly. Thanks to those who replied. I've been lurking here every day, thinking of you all, but haven't felt like I had anything to share that would be worth reading

I think all that reading counts as prewriting. Seriously. Linda Sue Park said she read 100 books (at least) as prep for writing.

I think there's nothing quite like the 'first love' of your firstborn...I'm very thankful for that rush of intense love I felt for D daily. It's different now that he's older, but I like older kids, so for me, mothering gets better every day! But the memory of holding him and watching him still makes me smile (I might add that my experience with my daughter as a baby was not that enjoyable -- and I'm especially thrilled that she's a little girl now, rather than still that crying, miserable baby!).

It's good to hear that life is treating you well, and that things are easing a bit where your dad's concerned. Many blessings to you, Liz :)

Wow, what a full plate you have! But it's so great you are enjoying every moment you have with your little angel. I know you hear it all the time, but they really do grow up SO fast!
