I know this is incredibly delayed

But having finally seen the majority of existing Firefly episodes I only have one thing to say.

It may be the best TV show to be aired in my lifetime.

Which lead me to conclude one thing:

My taste and the taste of the main American Demographic must be grossly divergent, seeing as fox cut the show, and is still in business....

Might want to disregard my comment about Jet and 'Nani wa bushi'. I think I 'misremembered' something or don't recall the dialogue exactly, though my point about Jet still stands.

Both series also used more emotional (blues, folk, country) music to enhance their human element and the bitter remoteness of an open frontier.

And Vicious was mostly implied through most of the series, the same way the alliance / blue man group was.

The music and atmosphere of these shows are not identical, but certainly similar and key to what makes them quality

I have liked what I have seen of Chuck, Season one heroes had potential, but here were aspects that left me flat.

A point of Clarification....

Best American TV show. This is with due respect to a number of other worthwhile programs, but this show just has so much going for it.

And yes, Bebop is easily in my top 5....
