Another lovely night at Hogwarts. As all of you know, it was the Lantern Festival. I already knew the night would be a complete bore because Remus couldn't be there... full moon. Dumbledore insisted that everyone participate, even the staff, so I was forced to come up with an insipid note to put in a mooncake. An anonymous note. What a pointless exercise. An anonymous note, that you cannot even ensure will get to the person you intend.

Well I came up with something finally. And after all that, the mooncake I got didn't have a message in it. That was about the best thing that happened all night, though.

I thought to salvage the evening by spending some time with Harry, but he wasn't in a very good mood at all. He wandered off finally, hopefully to be with his friends.

I wandered the grounds, looking at the moon and missing Remus. So who should I see looking suspicious? Snape and Lucius Malfoy. I'd forgotten he was going to be here. Joy.

Of course, I could never resist a chance to bait Snape, so I wandered over and proceeded to do my best to annoy, I mean, talk to him. He seemed distracted, though, and didn't rise to any of my banter. Finally, he stormed off, leaving me with Mr. Death Eater himself. Who is as unpleasant as he always was. He kept making cryptic little comments. Something about our time in school, that I don't remember. I remember everything! Lucius Malfoy is incredibly full of himself. He wouldn't stop, then started to threaten Harry, so I admit it, I lost control. I hit him. I know I shouldn't have, but... I can't say what he was threatening. Suffice it to say that if people hadn't intervened, Malfoy would have had more than his hair mussed.

Of course, Snape arrived at that point, and I'm sure he'll be using this against me in our Anger Management sessions. Oh joy.
