I don't think I've felt this... satisfied for a long, long time. I had the best night's sleep I have had for years. Even if it was interrupted by Remus' nightmare, and soothing him back to sleep. Considering the, shall we say, strenuous nature of the previous evening's activities, it is no wonder that I slept well. The night with Remus was... more than I could have imagined. Though I wouldn't have thought Remus would be that... reticent...
I shall attempt to describe our evening in non-explicit terms. We started our evening in Hogsmeade, where we had a lovely dinner at the Three Broomsticks. We shared a bottle of Merlot, and we were both a bit tipsy. Remus looked incredible in the candlelight. So many years we have known each other, and still, looking at him like that gave me butterflies. I almost couldn't believe this wasn't another dream, that I wouldn't wake in my cell in Azkaban, cold and alone. But it was real. Remus was with me. We had all night together.
We finished our dinner, and walked back to Hogwarts. The moon, though far from full (thankfully) was bright in the cloudless sky, and Remus looked so good, and I couldn't help myself. I stopped abruptly, pulling Remus close against me and I kissed him. Never have I tasted a sweeter kiss. Remus felt perfect in my arms; he is just a few inches shorter than me. The rest of the world went away as I pressed him against the garden wall. It seemed to go on forever. All that mattered was our mouths, our bodies, burning with need for each other. I felt like a teenager again! I wanted to go on, show Remus how much I burned for him right there; but my shy wolf wouldn't have it. I begged him, on my knees in front of him; there was no one around, no one would see! But, though I could clearly see, and feel, how much he wanted me, he resisted. He insisted we wait until we got to the school. I pouted, of course, but he promised that as soon as we reached my room (which was closest) we could continue what we had started. It was the longest walk of my life... every step worsened my condition.
Finally ~ oh, god, finally ~ we reached my rooms. The doors wouldn't open fast enough, and I had Remus up against the door before it even closed. My apologies if the silencing spells I used, hastily, weren't strong enough; I'm afraid the animal in both our natures was let loose last night. Suffice it to say that I am grateful that Hogwarts furnishings are as sturdy as ever.
After quite some time, we finally slept; but poor Remus seems to suffer from nightmares. Understandable, given his life. Still, it was the best night I have had for countless years, and one I hope to repeat again and again.
Thank you, Remus, for making me very very happy.
