Okay, so I've been watching the new "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" series, because I'm cool like that (Mipe, I blame you for that) (also, fandomsecrets).

My guess is that it's because every episode needs to have an aesop (I hear this is an actual demand of Hasbro's). And since it's important that kids learn about tolerance, they picked a theme that's easy for Americans to digest. Or perhaps it is something that Americans still need to be told? I don't know, I don't live in that culture.

But whatever the reasons, I agree that it's played out and the episode wasn't very good in comparison to the overall quality of the show.
