I'm really not sure what to think about it. My first reaction is to dismiss it as spam and think it's fraud. It's just too good to be true and generally randomly PMing people with offers like that is just suspicious. So I decided to google-fu a bit. ... and I found pretty much nothing. I was expecting loads of "Beware! This is bullshit!" posts in different forums, but there was just next to nothing. Some very old videos accused AdRev of some bullshit copyright claims in youtube but that isn't really the same. Sure, it could be the same company and it eventually got caught from its bullshit and started a new thing, but I'm not sure. It could as well be a different company that chose an unfortunate name.
So after I found nothing I decided to finally check their site (which I had avoided doing because I didn't want viruses, spam or anything else nasty, or give them any ideas that their site is popular). ... it actually seems sorta legit, but still too good to be true. Seriously not gonna sign up to check what it's all about because I don't want any bullshit. Damnit, I wouldn't be interested even if it was real, but right now I just want to prove it bullshit so badly that it's ridiculous. Has my internet defensive barrier gotten too high now and I'm paranoidly pointing an accusing finger at everything ever? Or am I justified in being careful? I might never find out.
