why do people take livejournal so seriously? i can't take any social networking website seriously.

my enjoyment of life is being inhibited by this thing called work.

i got an iPod shuffle for christmas, but i can't get it to work. it says it is synced with iTunes, but when i hit play it says there are no songs on it. suggestions?

EDIT: it turned out to be an I-D-10-T error after all. it's working now.

the lyric "the coastline and the waves below/terrifically white and clear" sends shivers down my body. the biggest lesson i have yet to learn is that the profound exists in the mundane. if you are able to enjoy every moment, be it dull or exciting, squeeze the joy out of it like water from elephant dung, then you are looking in the right place.
