How it all could end

Oh my god, so I had a little head-canon moment about how One Piece could end and decided to share it with Nagaineko. But it turns out really long - like a thousand words long - so I’m posting it here xD …Enjoy?

Okay so, try to imagine this as if you’re watching the anime cause in my head it looks way better visually:

Directly after Luffy has reached Raftel and obtained One Piece, we see the Straw Hats having a party of celebration. We see shots of them you know, being straw hats and acting all ridiculous. Then, as the upbeat music winds down we focus on Brook who sets down his guitar in favor of his violin and starts playing Bink’s Sake.

As it pulls away from him we see he’s no longer at the party but at the edge of a coast, with Laboon sitting in the water listening all happily. As the whale calls happily he lifts up his tail and brings it down, bringing up a wave of water.

As the water crashed down and meets the water, we see it reveal Franky and Iceburg on the lawn deck of the Sunny which is moored at Water 7. Franky is trying to show off to his brother and Iceburg smirks and taunts him and then the two brothers are arguing, then laughing (Oh, we don’t hear what they actually say though, because everything is silent except for the violin rendition of Bink’s Sake that plays).

As the two are ‘re-bonding’, Iceburg notices a figure crossing the upper deck and looks up, seeing it’s Nico Robin who has paused going into the gallery an open sketchbook in her hand, the words ‘Rio Ponyglyph’ visible. A moment of understanding passing between them and Robin smiles before opening the door.

Inside the door is not the gallery but someone’s living room and Chopper is feeding a sick kid some medicine. He looks up and grins widely, mouthing a name and we turn to see it’s now Kureha in the doorway. She’s shocked to see him but quickly composes herself and asks something, a Beli sign and a question mark above her head. Chopper looks confused for a second then laughs and shakes his head. Kureha grins wickedly. Next thing we see is Chopper running for his life out the door, Kureha chasing after him with some weapons. We see her swing down and bladed weapon -

For it to cut through some carrots rapidly. Pull back and we see Carne and Patty holding a conversation as they cook. Then we see a small shot of a front door of the Baratie being kicked open and inside the restaurant is empty but the tables still have some un-bused tables as if they had recently closed. Then Carne and Patty and the rest of the cooks look up, then go rushing out to see what the commotion was, some of them with weapons in hand because they expect they are being attacked. But they all lower their weapons when they see Sanji standing there, smoking a cigarette and pouring himself some wine. Cut upstairs were Zeff also heard the commotion and comes to see what’s going on - and spots Sanji sitting on one of the tables, grinning like a fool as he shows them a sketch of All-Blue.

The focus goes towards the picture and then we see the drawn water begin to move and then we see it’s really the sea and on that sea is a little boat that’s just landing at the island where two people jump on the beach and start making their way up a path and into town. As they make it up the hill one of them starts to run and we see a red bag banging against his hip and hands cupped over his mouth, yelling about something. It draws the villagers out of their homes, all annoyed as they hold pots and pans - only to pause when the man turns around and turns out to be Usopp, who waves to them all with a smile and laughs. Tamanegi, Ninjin and Piiman all break from the crowd of townspeople to jump at their former captain, knocking him to the ground as they hug him and the four of them are laughing. Then we see a shadow fall over Usopp and he looks up, and his eyes start to sparkle and his grin gets even wider - and the camera turns so we see Kaya standing there, smiling down at him.

As for the other person he came there with, we see him from his boots only at first as they turn away and step over the dirt road and onto grass before stopping. The camera pans upwards and it’s Yassop with a mournful look on his face. And the camera turns around to show up he’s looking at his wife’s grave.

And then the camera turns around again but it’s not Yasopp anymore but Zoro, bent over in prayer at Kuina’s grave, Wado before him. His eyes open suddenly and he looks back, seeing his mentor Koshiro, standing there with a paper in his hand claiming Zoro as the Greatest Swordsman. He sits down beside the other, smiling to him before folding up the newspaper and also setting it down in front of Kuina’s grave. We see the breeze catch the pages, blowing them up some.

As the pages come back down it’s no longer a newspaper at all but a stack of maps, Nojiko bent over them with a proud smile while Genzo leans over her shoulder, looking amazed. They are in Bellemere’s house and Nami is across the table with a smile on her face, waving a hand as if it’s no big deal before pointing out the back window. They turn to look and we see a large bag of treasure sitting outside that makes both their jaws drop and Genzo’s hand hit the table, knocking over one of the drinks on it. Nojiko and Nami jump up with yells of surprise and Genzo flails apologetically, rushing into the kitchen to grab a rag.

And then we see the rag is now being used to dry a beer glass and its Makino holding it, when the door to her bar suddenly opens. She looks up, only to drop the glass in surprise. In the doorway stands Shanks - his crew behind him - and on the top of his head is a Straw Hat. Soon enough the Red Hair pirates are all in the bar being, well, pirates and Makino is talking to Shanks, pointing curiously at his Straw Hat. He places his hand on it and laughs softly then points outside and says something that makes her smile. Shanks reaches towards a plate on the bar, picking up a rice cracker and lifting it up to eat it.

But we see the person who bites down on the cracker has a face that is old and wrinkled and it is Garp, a sorrowful look on his face as he looks out to the sea.

Bink’s sake comes to an end with the sound of sandaled feet clapping down a few feet behind him. Garp doesn’t turn around, only says, “I hear you’re the pirate king now.”

“Yeah.” Is the response.

Garp sighs, bringing out another rice cracker, holding it out and grumbling, “How can I be so proud of such a foolish grandson?”

And then we see Luffy smiling, big and wide, and he sits down beside his grandfather on the coast, taking the cracker. And then he starts talking but we hear nothing again and instead the narrator is talking, giving some preverbal ending or something to the show.

Err… The End?
