Lovers Tangle - Chapter 5

Jade woke up to the sound of her laptop ringing. She quickly opened it and clicked on the button that looked like a camera,
and a window popped up.

“Hey Jade! You’re back in this time! Good to see ya!” A pink haired, emerald eyed girl shouted at her. Jade smiled seeing
the girl. “Hey Sakura, how’s it going in your world?” She asked, and Sakura leaned in. “Sasuke-kun came back! I’ll tell you
all about it!” And so she did.

(They are all about 15-16 years old now, Sakura is a medic nin and part of ANBU, as is Naruto. They went on a recovery
mission with Neji and found Sasuke badly wounded. Sasuke’s curse seal was gone since he killed Orochimaru and he also killed
Itachi. I never met him because he was gone during the year I stayed at the Naruto world, but I saw a (hawt) picture of him
in Sakura’s room.)

So now, their relationship grew a little awkward ever since he came back. “Sorry I missed it! You still like him, eh?”

Sakura sighed. “Yes, but I don’t know how he feels.”

Jade glanced at the calendar. “Let me ask Karuna if she knows a way to get you guys there, and I can see him in real life,
instead of looking at his picture on your bedside table. Ja!”

Sakura smiled and wave goodbye. “Ja ne.”

Jade ran to Karuna’s room and started pounding the door. “Karuna! Get your lazy self up! I need to ask you something!”
Karuna opened the door and Jade stepped aside. Her hair was all messed up and she had bags under her eyes. She also looked
really pale and her eyes were red. This was no surprise for Jade, once Karuna got into the shower, she would look like her
old beautiful self!

After both girls got themselves fixed up, they drove to the café. Karuna turned to Jade. “What was it you needed to ask me?”
Jade thought for a while, her memory was failing her. “Oh yeah! Do you know a way to get someone from another world here?”

Karuna thought for a while. “The only way I know is if you talked with Yuuko, and we need Mokona to do that, or strong magic.”
Jade sighed.

(Little note here: Jade and Karuna only met around a year ago. Before then, they had to pass a solo mission as a mew. Jade
was sent to the world of Naruto, and Karuna was sent to Oto where she met the Tsubasa Gang. You get the idea now?)

When they got to the café, they saw Kish and Ryou running around like little girls screaming their heads off. They also saw
a white blur jumping back on forth on their heads. Karuna looked past the two screaming guys to see four familiar people,
and ran to glomp them. (Ahem, I mean glomp Sakura-hime.)

“SAKURA-HIME!!!” Was all you heard before you saw Sakura having the air squeezed out of her.

Mokona -who was the white thing on Ryou and Kish’s head if you didn’t already realize- decided to stop jumping and hug
Karuna. While that was happening, everyone else (but Jade) was looking at them like they were crazy.

When Karuna finally released Sakura, she greeted Syaoran, Kurogane, and Fai. Jade decided to pull Mokona away, downstairs
and asked Mokona to contact Yuuko.

“Hm? Who are you?”

Jade bowed before speaking. “I’m Jade, Karuna’s partner.”-Yuuko nodded-“I was wondering, if you could transport a few of my
friends here and back for a party.”

Yuuko looked at her. “It will require something of equal value to be paid to me.”

Jade nodded, expecting this, and held out her Katana. (This is the one I use that’s not made from my mew powers.) “It’s a
special one I’ve had since I was five, I think this should do.” Mokona swallowed the thing and Yuuko accepted it.

“I know which friends you are talking about, Mokona will receive them right where you are in a few seconds.” Yuuko vanished,
and Mokona started glowing again.

“Mokona says that they need another hour or so.” Jade nodded, and waited. An hour later, Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, Hinata,
Gaara, Iruka, Kakashi, Tenten, Akamaru and Kiba, Ino, and Neji appeared before Jade with their bags beside them. Sakura was
the first to move, by crushing Jade in a hug.

Everyone greeted Jade, Gaara, who didn't know her. Jade led them upstairs where Karuna was happily talking to Sakura. Seeing that
everyone calmed down, Jade and Karuna introduced everyone and explained how they got there.

After the LONG introductions, the Mews started working again. Ryou started to tell Jade and Karuna to start working too,
but Jade used her (oh so powerful and cool) abilities at got both her and Karuna a day off to catch up with friends, this
is how she did it:

“Ryou-KUN, can we PLEASE have the day off?” She looked at him, and he turned, trying to ignore the cute face she had on.
“PWEEZE?” Too late, he looked and she made her eyes all watery. He sighed, and let them go.

Jade ran out and high-fived Karuna, the two then went separate ways.

With Jade

“Okay, here are your groups. Naruto and Hinata, Sakura and Sasuke, Tenten and Neji, Kiba and Gaara, Ino and Iruka, and
Kakashi can do whatever he likes. Meet back at the café at six and I’ll treat you all to dinner! I’ll be going from group to
group and stuff, and I’ve gotten some jutsus of my own down, so I’ll show you some!” (Finally… those hurt! Not really. I’ll
pretty much be following Sakura and Sasuke, since I lub the awesome couple!)

With Karuna

"Ok, first things first. Fai, can you and Syaoran please stand infront of me?" Karuna asked.

After they stood infront of Karuna they looked at her and gingerly asked "Ummm, exactly why are we standing here?"

"O," Karuna said. "I need a little protection for the next minute or so. Anyways. It has come to my attention that I don't
have a super cool nickname like all of you. Neither does Mokona so I shall be Big Mousey and Mokona shall be Little Mousey!"

Mokona started to jump up and down while screaming "Yay!! Mokona like! Mokona like"

Sakura looked at Karuna "Demo, why did you need protection?"

Karuna smiled. "Do you really think Kurogane likes being reminded he was called Big Puppy?"

Artyume/JadeLily: I really wanted to write more, but it’s 1:07 AM and I’d like to get some sleep!

Pay Backs a Bitch/Karuna: hehe, sorry for the Big Puppy Little Puppy mentioning. But that's the part I'm at in the manga.
Book 6.

Bye until next time.

Chapter 6

“Saying”

Thinking/Flashback

Jade
and Karuna’s Mind Talk

(Jade’s
comments)

(Karuna’s
comments)

Note: This
chapter is all about Jade and her day with the Naruto Gang. The next chapter
focuses only on Karuna and the Tsubasa Gang. We’re going to do things like
this, or split chapters into two parts so you don’t get too confused.

Last Time

“Okay,
here are your groups. Naruto and Hinata, Sakura and Sasuke, Tenten and Neji,
Kiba and Gaara, Ino and Iruka, and Kakashi can do whatever he likes. Meet back
at the café at six and I’ll treat you all to dinner! I’ll be going from group
to group and stuff and I’ve gotten some jutsus of my own down, so I’ll show you
some!” (Finally… those hurt! Not really. I’ll pretty much be following Sakura
and Sasuke, since I luv the awesome couple!)

This Time

Jade
watched them as they left in different directions and saw Sakura mouth to her.
“Thank you.” She nodded at Sakura before changing into a cat and tailing Naruto
and Hinata. Naruto ended up pulling Hinata to a ramen place. (I have a feeling
that he has a ramen radar or something...) They ordered something, and Naruto
then realized he was broke. Hinata said she didn’t bring any money either, so
it was up to Jade to save the day. “Here ya go!” She said while paying for the
two of them.

Hinata
smiled in thanks as Naruto came up with another plan and dragged her off. Jade
shook her head. ‘Poor, poor Hinata, she seriously needs to talk to him.’

And with
that, Jade set off to find another group to follow. She decided a walk in the
nearby forest was in order, since she had been away from the woods for so long.
She landed on a tree and smelled the fresh air, letting out a deep sigh. How
she missed the forest, and everything in it. Back when I was in Konoha, I
used to go out and jump around in the forest every day. She then heard a
semi-familiar bark. Akamaru. She thought as she started towards the
barks.

Gaara and
Kiba were within a 5 meter radius of each other walking through the forest.
Kiba was walking Akamaru as Gaara looked as if he were casually strolling
through a park. Jade jumped down right in front of Kiba and Akamaru, making
both of them jump back in surprise. “How ya guys doing?” She asked cheerfully.
Kiba smirked and said. “Fine, we’re just fine.” Akamaru barked in agreement.

Jade then
turned to Gaara and smiled. “You’re Gaara, the Kazekage of the Sand. I’m Jade!”
She stuck her hand out for him to shake, and he (surprisingly) took it. “You’re
the girl that lived in Konoha that I’ve heard about.” He smirked and put his
hands into his pockets. Jade turned to Kiba again, while eyeing Gaara. She
smirked, and decided to be a little mean.

“So, Kiba,
what’s this I from Sakura about you and Temari?” That did the
trick, at once, Gaara turned to glare at Kiba, and Kiba’s face was a mixture of
anger and fear. Anger at Jade for saying that in front of Gaara, and afraid of
what Gaara would do. Jade sweatdropped at the tension, and decided to help Kiba
out. “I mean, you two are great friends now, right?” Everyone sighed and Jade
decided to leave before she caused more trouble, but not before showing off her
new Jutsu.

“Well,
Karuna helped me develop my own style of Jutsu. It focuses on grace more than
precise hand seals.” She stood straight and performed some new hand seals, and
ended up with a sort of wave with her hand. “Wind Release: Unseen Force.”
Instantly, all the leaves on the tree she waved at shook and blew off the tree.
Kiba smirked.

“So that’s
it? Ripping leaves of trees? I would expect more from you of all people.” Jade
looked like she was going to laugh, but then settled for a smirk and pointed to
the tree. “Keep watching.” She just said. The tree started groaning, and leaned
over a bit. It started falling more and more and when it reached a 65 degree
angel, it fell straight to the ground pulling the roots up with it.

Dirt
sprayed all over Kiba and Akamaru, they got a lot in their mouth. Jade started
breathing heavily, as more tree started to fall. She waved again and the trees
stopped falling. “Sorry, killing my element isn’t fun for me.” She decided to
leave everything as is, and run off, leaving Kiba, Gaara, and Akamaru to their
walk. Off in the distance, she heard Gaara growl. “Now, what was that about you
and my sister?”

As Jade
headed towards Kakashi, she decided to leave him be. He would be in some book
store searching for his perverted books. Next, she headed for Neji and Tenten,
who were walking by buildings after buildings. They came to where Jade and
Karuna lived, and that’s when Jade decided to drop in. “You guys want to see
how Karuna and I live?” Of course, Neji already did with his Byakugan, but
agreed because Tenten happily accepted the offer.

They
entered to see a simple apartment, with a couch, television, kitchen and such.
Once they entered Jade’s room, everything was different. Sure, the living room,
dining room, kitchen, and such and such were nicely decorated, but Jade’s room
was amazing! Tenten squealed at how it looked at started looked all around the
room. “This place is, WOW!” She started looking through everything as Neji and
Jade stood sweatdropping. “Tenten, wait!” Jade flipped the light switch, and
instantly, the room looked more like a lab. Computer and tubes slid out from
the walls, and the bed folded up to reveal hidden chemicals and stuff.

“This is
my lab, for experiments and such.” (Half the reason Jade was one of the two
that was chosen to go back-will be explained elsewhere-is because she was the
scientist of the Mew group. She was to conduct research on the mew project by
talking to the original creator. Since Ryou’s dad was deceased, she had to talk
to Ryou and Keiichiro about it.) “But here’s what I wanted to show you.” She
flipped a second switch that was hidden, and the computers and test tubes slide
away. Everything in the room slid away, until it was how it looked when you
just move in.

Then,
racks and rack of clothes appeared. This room had now turned into a walk-in
closet. “There’s even a fitting room.” She said as Tenten almost fainted. Neji
sighed. “This is going to take a long time to get her out.” It was true. Tenten
had already started digging through the close, pulling out a Chinese dress. She
rushed into the fitting room and came out. She twirled around. “Tenten! That
dress was MADE for you!” Jade exclaimed and nudged Neji. “What do you think?”
Neji grunted and Jade turned to leave. “Try anything on; you can keep whatever
you like. Just don’t go into Karuna’s room.”

Two more
groups were left for Jade to check up on. She decided to go to Sakura and
Sasuke. After changing into her cat form and jumping onto Sakura’s lap as she
and Sasuke were sitting on a bench in the park, Jade purred, and jumped off
Sakura. “Hey Jade, you’re still as cute as ever.” The cat looked like it smiled
and transformed back to Jade. “Sakura-chan! You’re hair’s so long now!” She
exclaimed. Indeed, Sakura’s hair was now almost waist length when let down,
though today, it was tied up into a ponytail.

Jade
turned to Sasuke and her smile faltered a bit. “So you’re the Uchiha prodigy,
the last of your clan.” Her words did not have much warmth in them any more,
and they grew colder and colder with each syllable she spoke. Sasuke noticed,
and gave a “hn” in response. Jade decided to pull Sasuke away while saying to
Sakura, “We’ll just be a minute, I need to talk to him about some things.”
Sakura instantly knew what this was all about, that was the same thing Ino said
as she dragged Sasuke off.

“So what
do you want? An apology? Something to show you regret for what I did?” He
snarled at her. (This isn’t going too well, I spent a day or two actually
putting together how Jade would feel about this all.) “No, I don’t need
something stupid as that. I don’t even know you. Besides, what would you
apologize for?” “How about that scratch on your shoulder for starters?” “What
scr-oh, I get what you’re talking about. So you’re the one I bumped in to.” He
nodded. “As I said, you were heavy.”

Jade
sighed; this was getting them no where. She did, however, remember the incident
they were talking about.

“Are
you SURE that I will not land in some dangerous place in the middle of a raging
war?” Jade turned to them. “For the billionth time, we are SURE!” Jade sighed,
transformed, and stepped through the portal...

...only
to be falling down flat onto some unsuspecting fellow. This fellow was indeed,
Uchiha Sasuke. “Get off of me you damn fatass bitch.” (Maybe a little harsh, ya
think??) “EXCUSE ME?!” Jade shouted as she got up. All the shinobi stopped
fighting at that sound. No one recognized the voice, but it reminded over half
of them of two kunoichis, Sakura and Ino.

Jade at
once figured the situation out, and looked around to determine sides. She then
recognized the person she was supposed to meet, Hitake Kakashi. Jade ran over
to Kakashi and smiled. “Sorry for the interruption, Kakashi-sama, they said I
wouldn’t land in the middle of a raging war.” She moved a few inches to the
right before a Shuriken was thrown seconds from where she was before.
Everyone’s eyes widened. She had her back turned talking to Kakashi, yet she
was able to notice the Shuriken and dodge it with ease.

Jade
turned to the one who threw the Shuriken. “Guess it’s time for my survival test
to begin.” (Cookies to anyone who can guess who threw it.)

“Look, you
don’t need to apologize to me. You NEED to apologize to Sakura. She’s gone
through a lot of pain ever since you left, much more than she felt when you
were still there. Sakura’s my best friend, and I’ll do anything to keep her
from having her heart ripped out again! She doesn’t NEED you, she has plenty of
friends and lots of guys who she would be happy with. But she chose you, and is
still giving you a chance. Sakura’s won’t wait for you forever! Remember that.
If you are just going to push her away, and break her heart again, I won’t
stand here watching her cry. I care a lot for her! Do you know how many times
she’s cried over you?

“I
remember that every other conversation we had was all about Sasuke. She would
be the one to bring it up, always wondering about you. And every single time,
she would burst into tears. And I couldn’t anything about it. I want her to be
happy; she’s like a sister to me as is Karuna! If you can’t make her happy,
then I suggest you go. It pains her to KNOW you exist!”

Jade shook
her head. Her head was down. Both she and Sasuke heard a rustle of leaves, and
then nothing. Jade smiled a bit while Sasuke ignored it. Sasuke then opened his
mouth to say something, but was interrupted. “I don’t care about your past,
mine is hard enough to handle. I don’t have parents either, or I wouldn’t be
sent on this darn mission! But when I was with Sakura and Karuna, I felt loved.
I felt like I had a family for once in my life! Sakura is giving you all the
love she has, more than she gave me. I’m here telling you that you should
either accept it, or leave for good.

“I have a
question to ask you, think about it before you answer. Do you love her?” Jade
looked up, and for once, her face was not bright. Her face was serious, and the
intensity of her glare made him feel like she could see every layer of his
mind. “Yes, yes I do.” He slowly said. Jade turned around. “Then you better
tell her, and you better tell her soon.” Jade started walking back towards
Sakura.

A little
before they reached Sakura, Jade threw Sasuke a package. She then jumped away.
“Sasuke, what’s in the package?” Sakura asked. Sasuke looked at the tag; on it
was a little note:

Sasuke

If you are reading this message,
then I guess you really do love her. I’m trusting you to take good care of her,
and do tell me when the wedding is; I want to be there for Sakura’s special
moment. Here’s a belated birthday present for you. I made sure it was special
enough for you to give.

Jade

For me
to give? Sasuke
wondered as he opened the package. He instantly understood as he looked at a
black, velvet box. He opened it up, and saw that inside was a silver chain with
a Cherry Blossom hanging from it. (Not a real one though.) On the back, it was
inscribed “My Sakura.” Sasuke inwardly smiled and took the chain out, and put
it on Sakura. The rest was unknown, for Jade had decided to give them some
private, alone time.

So
you gave him the talk? Karuna talked to Jade. I heard the whole thing. Jade
smiled and replied. Yup, I can’t wait to see the results. Both
girls had a smile on their face as they continued with their day.

The last
one was Ino and Iruka. Once Jade met them, she pulled Ino away and told her
about the big speech with Sasuke. They high-fived and laughed as they wondered
what Sasuke would do. The worse case scenario was that Sasuke would freeze up,
fall on her, and then spring back up. Their lips would touch, the kiss would
deepen, both would realize what was happening, break the kiss and blush, and
then he would cough and run off. Unfortunately, that’s just what happened.

The
result... Jade treated everyone to dinner, but then begged Ryou to close the
café early so she could plan a special dinner for Sasuke and Sakura. She
promised to work double the rest of the next day and also close up for him.
Ryou agreed, and was forced to dress up in a tux to help Jade. Keiichiro would
be the cook, and Jade would the waitress. Ryou was just there for backup.

After
dragging Sasuke and Sakura into the café, without any signs of resistance from
any of them, Jade went to Keiichiro to ask if the food was ready. When she came
back, she saw both Sasuke and Sakura looking down, hands in their lap, and both
heavily blushing. Jade placed some tomato soup in front of both of them and
started walking away, hearing both of them pick up their spoons.

“Itadakimasu.”
Both of them muttered as the meal began. Jade continued to serve them while
giving Sasuke the ‘you better tell her or else I’ll hunt you down’ look, while
giving Sakura the ‘calm down, everything will be alright’ look. Sasuke
attempted to ignore the look, but failed, and Sakura gave a small nod and
smiled at Jade. Jade turned back and went into the kitchen.

KA-RU-NAAAAAAA!!
She shouted to
Karuna in her mind. How’s it going Jade? Karuna answered her. They’re
hopeless; they won’t even look at each other out of embarrassment! Karuna
reassured Jade that it would be alright and gave Jade a simple, evil, plan, the
classic spaghetti trick.

Keiichiro
whipped up some spaghetti right away and Jade brought a plate of it out
for the two guests. “Eat up!” She gave them a wink before disappearing.
The rest of the right, was full of interesting surprises.

End Of Chapter

JadeLily/Artyume:
I think I just killed myself writing that much. If you guys want, I’ll write
the same amount for the next chapter in which Karuna gives the Tsubasa gang a
little *cough* big *cough* tour of the town/city. If no one tells me they want
around this much, then I’m not going to kill my fingers typing this much again!
