Mom is considering borrowing my dress and asked for pics of it. So I figured I'd just go ahead and make a post about it. As always, click the pics to see larger versions.
Whatever one I end up at. Whenever. You know, cause I'm such a geek that I've thought out what I'll wear the next time, whenever it is, that I go to one. :D
I can dig out the pattern and let you know which one it is. I don't really recommend trying it, because it's a McCalls pattern and they are notorious for being unreasonably difficult to deal with, but it did turn out okay in the end.
All the material I used ended up being from the home decor section. The dress itself is a sort of silk blend thing, I think. Maybe a faux silk or something, I can't even recall. It's meant for curtains, at any rate. The bodice is two different upholstery fabrics.
It's exceedingly comfy. Far more so than I'dve ever anticipated.
