Oh wow, a gay rights march in DC! What a way to mark National Coming Out Day! Glad you and Kim got to take part in what sounds like a remarkable and memorable experience (if not so glad for the circumstances which necessitated it).

Have a safe trip back!

Your governer done good: LOS ANGELES (BNO NEWS) -- A move that went largely unnoticed by the media on Monday, California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger quietly signed a bill that adds new rights for gay and lesbian couples.

Schwarzenegger signed the bill, SB-54 by Senator Mark Leno (D), on Sunday, his office said. Leno's bill requires California to recognize marriages performed in other states where same-sex marriages are legal.

It's a start, and that's something at least. Rest of the article is here: http://www.bnonews.com/news/842.html

Oh wow, I've always wanted to go to one of these (despite being straight)! MAybe when I'm done with school and can have a life... provided this nonsense with "This is Armageddon!" by the religious wingnuts isn't over.

And I agree. I'm really disappointed in Obama over getting nothing done regarding gay rights. I hope this changes soon, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

You'd be surprised how many straight people were marching with us! It's really heartening. :) And you would be very welcome!
