graphing calculator hide and seek.
have you ever played hide and seek with your graphing calculator? let me tell you, its not a fun experience.
at some point between the friday before easter and first block the monday after easter i lost my graphing calculator. great, grand, awesome, i'm screwed. so i go for however long its been since easter without it, randomly searching EVERYWHERE. my room, living room, computer room, kitchen, locker, classrooms, backpack, no luck.
sooo today i go to do chemistry homework, and i'm just like damnit i'll give in and get a new one, whatever. soooo my parents and i head off to kohl's in ct to get some sneaks and stop at walmart on the way back and after much debat end up getting the same version rather than upgrading to a more advanced one. so we come back home and my dad is like now search EVERYWHERE again before you open the other one incase you don't really need it. of course i have to pay for this new calculator cuz its my fault i lost the other. soo i search search search no luck. then i'm like what the hell and go through my bag again and what do i find? thats right my god damn graphing calculator had been in my bag the ENTIRE time. thus i feel like a complete idiot go out tell my parents i found it (don't really specify where..) and i procede to do one of my chem worksheets.
then its dinner time, score food, no more homework, but i do bring all my stuff out into the living room. i eat my food go into the living room. see my book, my pen, the phone.. do i see a calculator, no , of course not. i lost it again. its hiding on me again. greaaaaaat, apparently i have no luck whatsover. at this point i'm seriously thinking about getting one of those devices taht you hook to it and it beeps to tell you where it is. like the jammer that remote phones have. very convenient. i'm actually still considering it. next i search the whole house over again, this routine is starting to get pretty familiar by now, i'm an expert at searching the house, just not so expert at finding what i need. anways, i decide that i can't find it on my own so i go out to my parents who are sitting on the back deck and i'm like "i think my graphing calculator hates me because i can't find it again". my mom gets all you are kidding me, can't you keep track of that thing and i'm just like no. and then my dad walks inside and is like "steph come here." in this you're such an idiot voice. great, its probly out in the open "you're telling me you couldn't see it?" me-"no, why?" "it's right on your book" first off it was definitely not on my book, but i can never be sure, cuz i'm pretty spacey at times... so i ask my dad if it was really there and he's trying to convince me that it was but i'm still not really believing him and finally he goes "i hid it on you!" and breaks out into laughter so i procede to kick and punch him (jokingly) i was so pissed. i completely thought i had lost it again but noooo my dad had to be crafty and hide it one me. dah!
so that is why playing hide and seek with graphing calculators is not FUN AT ALL!!!
and i now have an extra calculator
but it goes back to the store and i don't have to pay for it
