I think we all have made mistakes like that, i know I have. But time does give you the option to fix those.

We all make decisions frequently in too little time with too little information. I take solace in the knowledge that when I made the decision it was, for all intents and purposes, the best decision I could make "at that time, knowing what I knew then". That helps me survive my mistakes.
