I'm not a slut for cover letters

Cover letters are the best and worst part of the resume process.  They give more personality to your resume, giving you a leg up if you do well--or a leg down if you don't.  My problem is always trying to figure out how not to sound needy/pompus/pushy/dumb as bricks, not to mention the problem of sounding completely generic.  Here's a conversation
