 Pretty cheesed off right now.  Alcoholic guy in house has a problem with me cooking with wine, and a looot of recipies I use require wine.

Are the recipes completely doomed without that ingredient?

the piccata can be made with stock, but it's not half as good. As for the others, I dunno. I wanted to try out my french cookbook but like all the dishes have sauces and most of the sauces involve wine.
