1. I graduated
2. I decided to be an English major (for the philosophical content) and TESOL minor. I don't know when History came in, and I later switched TESOL to Linguistics
3. I thought I knew how to write.
4. I decided that languages were oodles of fun and declared myself a philologist (...and thus a misunderstood man...)
5. I fell in love with the mountains
1 YEAR AGO:
1. I visited Montréal for the first time.
2. I (met and) proposed to my fiancée.
3. I quit my job at the Library.
4. I started on the weight-gain program Marie put me on (eating whatever she told me to)

1. I took a walk through the city with Marie.
2. I continued to read Elantris, and decided I could have improved upon it.
3. I discovered that Marie's laptop is in a fatal condition.
