People can really suck sometimes

For Pete's sake, this has me mad this morning. You don't  mess with the Little Mermaid ok. It has always been my favorite Disney movie, and very few people have read the original by Hans Christian Anderson, but I in fact have and find it to be one of the most heart-breakingly beautiful love stories ever written. PEOPLE--LEAVE HER ALONE!!!

it was funny to read that, because when i was in copenhagen 2.5 years ago, i walked a long distance to see the mermaid statue, only to get there and find out that it was gone because it was being repaired for a few months after vandals had knocked it off its stone perch. so all i saw was the empty rock and it made me sad :-(
