Not as much funny stuff for a short week.  I just heard a kid in the hallway after lunch say that his substitute teacher smelled of, "whiskers and cartwheels."  His friends laughed, so I'll assume it was an inside joke and was actually funny and not weird ( Read more... )

Here are the funnies from this week:

1.   In a student paper, they said, "My cooking is meteroic."  They meant to say mediocre.  I suppose they could think it is a heroic meter.

2.   There is a very sweet, intelligent, but kinda dorky freshman in one of the classes.  In his "Goals for the New Year" assignment, he said he wanted to get a girlfriend.  ( Read more... )

Since I will be student teaching until April 25th, and there are so many funny things that high school students do, I want to post a funny story of the week.  Here's the first!

 I wanted to do something I could actually accomplish.  So here it is:

I resolve to finish college and graduate with my masters.

If I can't finish that by May, then I am mildly retarded, seeing as I am already half way done.

I have been placed for student teaching at Henry Clay High School.  It's quite exciting to think that in 2 months I'll be running a classroom, and hopefully by this time next year I'll have my own class, with my students... ahhh!!  I just can't wait!
