I will be in a
juried craft show this Saturday with
sjlandsman. It will be in Andover in the Park. (Bartlett and Chestnut Street) Boy am I tired, I have been trying to make up as much as I can as I have no idea what will sell and this is my first show. The last forecast said rain (it is an outdoor show - rain or shine) so I am a little worried about

My only suggestion at the moment is to NOT lock yourself into just seedbeads or rope crochetting by putting mentioning them in your business name.

I was thinking of something more generic like "designs"
and a floral or color name. I like blue, thinking of something based off that.

I have a generic design, I may use that for this show.
I am still finishing up pieces, I have to finish the frames I have for display and I have to price. And I can't say the kids are being helpful. S is having serious issues right now, we have had an ongoing problem which we have been seeing a counselor for and it is the worst this week as it has been yet. (was followed by the best week last week sigh)

As for names... thorgerd and I kept toying around with JewelTones or other Jewelry type words on our drive home, but inspiration failed to strike. (Mostly I'd like to find a cool word, like "inspiration" which has a relevant word inside of it. But since you're not selling spirals (or spirs) that one isn't doing it for me.)

Frolic. There's a good name for me to ponder.

I found a few of those beads leftover on the thread so I strung up two more, figuring it would go over well for anyone who liked orange. I made up one for the show, and I will crochet the other later.

Nope I sold nothing. Sue didn't either. It was pretty much a disaster. Most of the people who were selling either didn't bother to show or left right after arriving to check out the situation. The whole park was flooded. The only reason we could set up at all was that they had set up that tent the night before, keeping the ground a bit less soggy.
I was up late getting everything together and assembling a few last pieces. All a waste it seems.
We figured it would be a good dry run to see how long it took us to set up, how the display worked etc. I might have met some woman who want a PMC workshop. And I got some information from people. (most of the other people who stayed were new too though)
I am so sorry I missed you though. I knew you had a Tball game, and I figured that was rained out, so I didn't expect you. We at least got a nice warm lunch without kids.

Don't worry about leaving -- I was there late. I assumed it would be cancelled, but then checked your message and saw "rain or shine." I thought I'd swing by just in case you needed a cup of coffee :).

How was the day as far as dry run? Did all the pieces go together well?
Oh, and Sue may want to make sure the canopy is dry before storing. Otherwise it might mildew and ruin the look of it.
Hope you had a fun Mother's Day. :-)
