Hair clip board - looking for opinions.

I decided to make a board for storing Juliette's hairclips. I am sick of pawing through the drawer looking for them. (next project is to figure out how to store Sara's headbands

I like the plain diagonals best and the plain verticals second.

You could also use green ribbons and make the vertical layout look like bamboo. :-)

I also like plain diagonals best. I like plain verticals and criss-cross verticals nearly as much; diagonal criss cross somehow seems too much.

I can tell you this in person, but since there's commenting here...

I agree the single diagonal looks best. The criss-cross diagonal I think would look good with two different (non-black) colored ribbons, but not like this. Maybe.

Another vote here for plain diagonal.

Are those clips for the Girly Girl Bowtique? I have some for Dear Leader and love them.

The korker ones I made. They have Angelina Ballerinas on them.

The others are crochet from ChimysClips, which I also really like.

I was going to say to go for practicality until I scrolled down and saw the plain diagonals. That one is really pretty!

I will note that the middle two pictures also bring out the background pattern better, so it's partly the picture. However, I do think the diagonals still look better - and have the added advantage that you won't have to get the alignment quite as exact to make it look good.
