I like it a lot! She sounds like a fascinating person. The story really gives you a feeling for what she was like, and it fits well with what we know about her.

It's interesting how you start with "and then one day...", as if it was just a random part of something larger. I have a feeling there's some theoretical explanation behind it, but I just think it's cool.
