"You're awake?" Jaejoong doesn't look. He's leaning on the railing of the hotel room's cramped balcony, watching the sun crawl over Paris' skyline.
"Yeah." Yunho sits up, kicking the sheets aside.
Jaejoong turns around, resting his elbows on the iron bar. A cigarette hangs half-smoked from his fingers. This would be a good shot for the photobook, Yunho thinks almost jokingly. Jaejoong there with his back to the world, the sun a halo around his head and the taste of alcohol and French women heavy in his mouth.
“You know, just because we’re travelling doesn’t make this okay.”
Yunho turns and puts his feet on the floor, then rests his elbows on his knees and presses his palms into his eyes. After a moment he looks at Jaejoong through his fingers and attempts a smile. “But it’s Paris, city of romance!”
Jaejoong is unflinching. Yunho deflates and struggles to his feet. “I know,” he says to Jaejoong’s silence. “We shouldn’t have.”
“We can’t,” Jaejoong corrects.
Yunho crosses the room and stands next to Jaejoong, leaning sideways against the railing. “We shouldn’t.”
“We can’t.”
Yunho’s fingers trace Jaejoong’s jawline. “We shou-”
Jaejoong presses his cigarette between Yunho’s lips. “Breathe deep, leader. It’s going to be a long day.” He smiles.
