The vet did the autopsy

It was a tumour that cut off the blood supply to her kidney and stomach. It burst and abscessed, probably a week or so before she showed signs of being constipated. There was nothing anyone could do if she was being stoic about any pain she might have felt. She didn't want to worry me, if I know her. I'm just sorry she was in pain at the end, but

Poor baby. :( I'm sure the pain meds did help, though.

I know you'll miss her always, as I do my Midnight, but you gave her a good life and she loved you as much as you loved her.

Poor little girl. I was thinking of the pain meds too, it's good she got to have that. And you're so right, there'll never be another cat like her. I know that and I've never met her! You were both so fortunate to have each other.

Roxy had so many friends. I still haven't told all of them. She thought everyone she met was there to fuss over her. Little Diva. She was more than my cat and my furkid, she was a great friend. A little human who just happened to look like a cat. I'm just glad that she was still mostly herself right up until yesterday, giving me headbutts and hanging out wherever I was. Even when she was hurting. As late as Sunday she still wanted to go out and walk around the outside of the house. Really gonna miss that this summer. She was kind of like a dog more than a kitty.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I know how you feel. My little guy passed away over a year ago and I still can't bring myself to get another cat, although I miss the pitter patter of furry feet something awful.

Thank you. Not sure I want another cat. There's no way I'll ever find another one as awesome as Roxy. She was more like a little person in a furry suit than a cat.
