Like a lot of otherwise intelligent people, he's inarticulate when it comes to talking about feelings. In the beginning, he didn't tell her he loved her or ask her to marry him. He handed her a betrothal gift and hoped she would understand.
In the end, it's going to be another gesture that reconciles them, but I'm getting ahead of myself. :)
Well, you just knew she wasn't going to take it well! No wife would. If only he'd just share his nightmares with her, but wait, what am I thinking? He's a man! er, male anyway. :) I'm looking forward to seeing how he gets out of this situation.
Going to bed angry = not a good idea. Refusing to talk the problem out = not a good idea. But if you've been reading my stories all along, you'll know that Thranduil is not a one for talking about his feelings. About once in an entire Age is his limit.
