It is so lovely to read this chapter, again, and enjoy it here. EEven knowing it is part of your story arc and so they were going to reconcile again, I am glad to see them doing so finally in this chapter - it is a testament to your skill of writing that even knowing the outcome as a reader, one is intensely suffering with them both at their spat while it lasted.

Very well done, indeed! *applause*

I am still under the impression of the parting from those left behind, the faithful.
It is heartbreaking to watch how the darkness creates such breaks in families.
Somewhere, inside, I hope to have them all united once darkness is conquered and Mirkwood becomes Eryn Lasgalen again.
This is an interesting and touching story, which I love to read.
Thank you so much for it.

Well, if you have read all the stories thus far, you will notice how Thranduil steadfastly refuses to cede the Emyn Duir to Celeborn and to leave them outside Radagast's girdle. They are part of his modern day hidden realm. So maybe . . .

Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment!

Sigh, nicely done there. It was nice seeing the cavern that way... all the nooks and crannies. That was a beautiful gift he gave her. I've read all your stories - at least all that are posted here - and I'd forgotten about that particular feature of their room. It's something a king and queen should have! :)

I've truly enjoyed this and am so sad to see it ending!

I'd forgotten about that particular feature of their room.

Half the time I do too. I'm writing about how dark it is and then I have to go, duh! -- they have a window, idiot! LOL

One more short epilogue, posting today, and the tale is complete. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for letting me know. :)

This is so sad to read. :( Leaving a place that has been home for so long is even harder than most, even if a new start is the best thing all around.

I think you must grow very attached to a place after thousands of years. I always try to get my mind around the sheer passage of time when it comes to writing about the Elves.

Thank you!
