Ah, a perfect ending. I hope that Thranduil spends a few more days like that with Lalaithiel! :) I wish it wasn't over, but I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Thanks so much for sharing your gift with us! :)

*heaves big sigh of relief* It's so good to have this one finally over and published after almost a year on the boil. This story may be over, but the saga is not.

Thank you for sticking with me to the end!

What a lovely epilogue - I like to think of that avenue of beeches and that, every time Thranduil saw them, he thought of her.

And of his father, I hope. I just loved it when I learned that Oropher's name was a variation on 'beech'. It gave the whole detail such poignancy, which I wonder if Tolkien meant.

Thank you so much for commenting. :)

I return to this cycle of stories again and again. They have a languid flow like a deep forest stream. I love that you take your time establishing the setting, the characters, the details of thought processes. You make the Greenwood come alive for me; as if it is somewhere I might visit. I just don't have the words to describe how much your stories move me...to laughter and to tears. I want to read more things you've written. Is there more? Have you applied your talent to other tales, or is the Thranduil legacy your sole inspiration?

Thank you! This could not have come at a better time. I have applied my talent to other fandoms. But when it comes to anything original, my ideas are so unusual that there's no marketable niche.

I'm happy sticking to fanfiction.
