What a nice treat after a busy day.

I had wondered if they had got together - how nice to know. I got some inkling of that last line when you mentioned that he had waited until the tree was at its peak - what a good way to celebrate, for them.

I love your Not Fade Away series, and this short fictlet fits in just beautifully. How bittersweet - that love eternal between the ever-living and the will-o-the-whisp mortals, as shown between Hal and Jane. That type of love is ever tinged with sadness, but such incrediblt joy also comes through clearly. I'm so happy that Olorime had a birthday so that I could read this gem.
