Because of concerns with the change of ownership at Lord of the Rings Fanfiction Archive, I have removed all my stories from that site and asked that my account be deleted.

A complete mess, too. I will move m,y stuff and delete my story there, too, but it will take me a few days to at least handle the transfer. Oh, well...

I see from LJ that the site is losing a lot of good authors. It's a shame they took the bull in a china shop approach with this thing. I always liked that archive but I've taken my stories down and had my account there deleted as well.

In a nutshell, LOTRFF was sold to a man by the name of Keith Mander, who stated in his blog that he had intentions of commercializing the site. Since making a lot of money is a big no-no when it comes to fanfiction ( and neither Mr. Mander or Adora seemed to quite understand this) there was real concern from the old-timers about attracting the attention of the Tolkien Estate, with bad results for all of us. When Mr. Mander failed to adequately address our worries, many of us decided to remove our stories and leave.
