re: The US v. England game

Dear drunken Irish dude at Buffalo Wild Wings yesterday:

1. Really? You're drunk at 3:00 in the afternoon at Buffalo Wild Wings?

2. When the score is 1-1, there's no ass-kicking on anybody's part, thus rendering the chanting and the jeering at the poor dude in the English flag scarf unnecessary.

Have a lovely day. kthxbye.

Given that the British team is supposed to be a whole lot better than the U.S. team, a 1-1 tie means that the U.S. kicked a whole pile of ass. Just sayin'

On a side-note, soccer is weird, since a tie game is a huge reason to celebrate. Heck, it's weird in that you can have a tie game!

But that's like relative ass-kicking, which is a reason to celebrate definitely but doesn't warrant harassment. Also, ties are weird. Totally agreed.

Einstein needs a theory of relative ass-kicking. Something like, ass-kicking equals mass times the speed of my foot squared or something like that. It would be totally awesome.
