The narratives of sci-fi and of the games that people play online (recently I looked at Eve), are fascinating. And, for all the education I have, in how to read narrative and how that functions in worldview, epistemology, et al., it is humbling that for all my pretense of academia, all this exists in pop culture. oh well. I guess that's why it's interesting anyway, universal appeal.
