Floating aimlessly through life, as my mental framework is best characterized by stream of consciousness, so too my life. I am waiting tables in the post-Katrina New Orleans, waiting for a career or something to happen. It's amazingly frustrating to feel trapped by who we are. Our abilities, characteristics, and personalities are able to change to a certain degree, but do we want to change? Perhaps the better question is, should we change? Can we be happy living as our society, family, or church demands while wanting the complete opposite?

Unfortunately I haven't found any answers yet...if there are any. Neither path seems easy or fair.

I love you, m'dear, for who you are, which is in no way demeaning. You are brilliant, compassionate, beautiful, and driven. Hopefully God will give us some guidance for us both soon.
