Today, the first real snow fell- it was thick and it blanketed the ground and didn't melt when it hit the roads- it stuck. Today, I walked home from the bus over a half mile a virgin snow.

And, while I slipped once or twice due to wearing the completely wrong shoes for such an occasion, it was, and is, beautiful.

Very, very beautiful.

Today was a pretty low day. I've been fighting a black mood and nothing really has seemed to help.

But, today I did something nice, something that I didn't need to do, for someone I didn't know.

And that, I think, made me happy.
