It's Raining...Something

Aug 15, 2008 10:25

The last couple of weeks we've had a crew of guys putting on a new roof at my office. Today, little black flecks started raining down on my desk amid all the banging. I was very relieved to hear the receptionist was out as that meant I had a good excuse to leave my desk! I don't want to know what it's going to look like when I get back. ^_ ( Read more... )

I lived in Burlingame while I was working in SF & Burlingame for a while. It's nice. Foster City is a nice place too, my grandparents lived there. (I miss the Bay Area. ;_;)

It's great to hear about things going on with you--sounds like you're making progress with everything and it sounds like there is so much that you've done already! I would be a strung-out mess by now if it were me. ^_^

I can certainly believe it, I've watched enough wedding shows to know that planning is an extremely stressful experience. I'm sorry. :/

You can always call or email me if you need to rant at someone, that goes for you too, Heather! I'm a good listener and I'll be planning my wedding at some point, so I can share the stress.

Good to hear that your wedding plans are well in hand. We've kind of been slacking on ours...gotta get busy! =) I was so nervous about planning the wedding when AJ proposed, but some parts seem kinda fun, like doing the registry and picking out the cake. Are you guys looking into houses or apartments?

Our favorite part so far has been cake. We had similar concepts so it went well with little disagreement and lots of good cake to eat. ^___^ We're working on registry and discovering our interior decorating ideas aren't really meshing too quickly. ^_^;; We keep finding things that 'almost' work, but not quite. Though we made good progress on that yesterday, too. My advice on getting stuff done is get a list of everything that needs to be done and start working on the big stuff ASAP. When you inevitably have some wait time between searches and Q&A, work on smaller stuff.

As for living space, I'm looking at apartments. It's a buyers market right now, but it just doesn't make sense what with Shivam still thinking about getting a different job. If he finds/gets one farther up the bay we may move in a year or two. It just makes sense right now to rent until we have a better idea of things.
