Hi Julie, it's Amber, I doubt you remeber me, but "kfarr" is right, stop trying to show them. I was going through the exact same thing as you because I don't really party and all that shit and my floor is the party floor, but I just showed them that I wasn't like that and they seem to appreciate me anyway because they still invite me to hang out. As cliche as this sounds, just be yourself and people will notice.
just give'r. Find some people who you have no knowledge of whatsoever and strike up a conversation. Parties aren't always the best place to meet people, try concerts, pub nights and the like to introduce yourself. If you have some spare time, try meeting someone who looks as lost as you are and and offer to help them find whatever they're looking for.This is easier at a small university like trent, but can apply to anyone, anywhere.
Above all, don't sell out. I can't think of anyone who know the name Julie Farr and thinks negative things. Have a chat with some people and I'm sure they'll get to know and love you too.
I completly agree. Personally, I find the best way to meet people is to leave the door to your room open while your in there just watching tv or reeading or something. I don't know what your res is like but on my floor everyone just leaves their doors open and random people walk in and we start up conversations, everyone likes everyone...except for this one shady guy..he just kinda walks into your room and sits on your bed then doesn't talk...yea, dargar is right, just start up a conversation with someone, people I find are much friendlier in university than high school.

Miss Julie Farr, I agree with all these people...just be the wonderful, amazing, outgoing, interesting, brilliant, hilarious Miss Julie Farr we all know and love. Even my dad says that he assumed you would be having a blast because, well, honestly, because it's you. You always make the best of any situation given to you, and I know that this will be the same.
